When Repairs Stop Being Worth It
Every roof has a point of no return. Metal that has rusted through at the laps, tiles shedding their surface with each storm, or ridge capping that will not stay pointed no matter how often it is redone all say the same thing: the money is now better spent on replacement. Stripping and disposing of the old roof is included, with the house kept weathertight between stages and all the old material carted away for proper disposal.

Easily, and it is among our most requested jobs. The old tiles come off, battens are checked and renewed where needed, new sarking goes down and the steel goes on. The house also sheds a serious amount of roof weight in the process, which older frames benefit from.
Roof size, pitch, access and what is coming off all move the price, so any figure quoted sight unseen would be a guess. What we offer instead is a free on-site measure and a written fixed quote from David, so the number you get is the number you pay.
A few days covers most homes, weather permitting. The roof is kept weatherproof at every stage, so an unexpected shower never catches the house open, and your quote will include a realistic timeframe.
