The coating on a roof works hard. It reflects heat, sheds water and stands between the surface and everything the sky throws down. A professionally applied Acra-Tex system typically holds up for 10 to 15 years, sometimes longer where exposure is kind. Sun, salt and shade all influence the number, which is why preparation and product quality matter so much.
Genuinely, yes. The membrane seals the surface against water, resists UV breakdown and, in heat-reflective formulations, can lower the temperature load on the home. The fresh colour is really the bonus rather than the point.
They can, with the right system. Steel needs specific preparation and primers designed to bond to the metal surface, and that is exactly the process we follow, so the finish stays put for the long haul.
