Tuncurry and the beaches north of it get weather that most of the twin towns are sheltered from. Nine Mile Beach runs straight up the coast with nothing to break the easterlies, so roofs at Diamond Beach, Black Head and Hallidays Point cop wind-driven salt spray that eats into fasteners and cut edges first. It can. Long, low Colorbond runs on the exposed northern strip weather faster than people expect, because wind-driven salt attacks the coating and the fasteners well before the sheets themselves fail. A restoration resets that protection.
It varies with the size and condition of the roof and how easy it is to access, but restoration typically runs at a fraction of a full re-roof. The figures are a guide only, and David gives you a written price after a free, no-obligation assessment.
That exposure is exactly what the system is built for. We prepare the surface thoroughly and apply a metal primer under a Dulux topcoat, laid by a Dulux Acra-Tex accredited applicator, which typically protects the roof for many years.
Most restorations are finished within a few days, weather permitting, and the work stays outside on the roof, so day-to-day life carries on. David lets you know the likely timeframe when he quotes.
