Very professonal, very punctual. Did a great job we would definitely recommend.
New Roofs Along the Northern Strip
North of the channel, Tuncurry is the quieter, more workaday half of the twin towns, and its roofs face straight into the easterly weather that rolls up Nine Mile Beach. When one has done its time we replace it in tile, metal or Colorbond, from the Tuncurry back streets out to Hallidays Point, Diamond Beach and Black Head.

Has Your Tuncurry Roof Reached the End of the Road?
Tuncurry is largely permanent homes rather than holiday lets, which means many roofs here have been quietly weathering full-time for decades. The long frontage of Nine Mile Beach gives the easterlies a clear run at the town, driving salt-laden rain hard into ridge lines and gutters. Out on the newer coastal estates at Diamond Beach and Hallidays Point the exposure is fiercer again, where homes on the front edge take the full sea breeze with nothing to slow it down.
Every roof reaches a stage where patching only buys a little time. Once corrosion tracks along the sheets or the flashings give up across the exposed faces, a full replacement stops being the costly option and becomes the sensible one. David will show you honestly where your roof stands before you spend anything.
How a Tuncurry Roof Replacement Runs
The whole job is handled by the one crew, so nothing gets handed off and nothing gets lost between quote and finish.
David inspects before he recommends anything. If a Tuncurry roof can be saved with repairs and a recoat he says so, and he only calls it beyond saving once the beachfront salt has truly worn it out.
The old roof is stripped and every piece removed from site, kept tidy on the tighter Tuncurry blocks and the newer estate lots at Diamond Beach and Hallidays Point.
Every material and colour on the table, with coastal-grade Colorbond really proving itself on the front-line homes at Black Head and along Nine Mile Beach.
New sarking and insulation come with the replacement, blocking wind-driven damp from the coast and keeping the ceiling cavity dry through the wet months.
Australian standard fixings and flashings throughout, detailed to hold up against the easterly weather that hits the exposed northern faces hardest.
With the last ridge fixed, the gutters are flushed, the site is swept and the old roof has already left before David does.

New Roofs FAQs
Answers to the questions we get asked most.
Less than most people expect. Because Tuncurry homes are lived in full-time, David plans the job to keep the house weathertight every evening and works through methodically. Daytime noise aside, families generally carry on their normal routine while the new roof goes on.
Homes on the northern strip take the easterlies straight off the water with nothing to break the wind, so salt exposure is severe. A coastal-rated Colorbond finish is built to resist that corrosion far better than a standard sheet, which is why David specifies it for front-line homes along Nine Mile Beach.
Yes. The estate homes at Hallidays Point and Diamond Beach are regular work for us, and their exposed positions make material grade and correct flashing detail especially important. David quotes each one on its own aspect and pitch rather than a blanket approach.
It depends on the size of the home, the material you choose and the state of the existing structure, so figures vary roughly from one job to the next. David gives you a fixed written quote after inspecting the roof, and the price you agree is the price you pay. Any figures discussed beforehand are a general guide only.
We do. Beyond the coast we cover Nabiac, Failford and the highway town of Bulahdelah, where roofs deal with more damp and shade than salt. David matches every roof to its own setting, whether it is a beachfront home or an inland cottage under the trees.
