Has Your Camden Haven Roof Reached the End?
The Camden Haven is hard country for an old roof. Plenty of homes here are fibro and weatherboard cottages from decades back, sitting under big shade trees that drop leaf litter into every valley and keep the shaded pitches permanently damp. Between Queens Lake on one side and the ocean on the other, the air never really dries out, and North Brother Mountain has a habit of funnelling wind and rain straight down onto Laurieton when the weather turns.
An original metal roof on one of those cottages will eventually rust through at the laps and fixings, and no patch job holds for long once it does.
