It is the roof most new coastal builds here choose for a reason. Colorbond is manufactured for Australian salt-air conditions, and homes close to Town Beach or Lighthouse Beach get the appropriate coastal grade of steel and fixings so the roof lives a full life despite the spray.
Almost always. Conversions from concrete tile to steel are among the most common re-roofs in the older Port Macquarie suburbs. The tiles are removed, battens and sarking renewed as required, and the new sheeting installed, leaving the house both sealed and considerably lighter up top.
